5 things I learned about letting a robot write 80% of our codebase and calling it a "strategy" š
1. š„ The moment I stopped pretending I "reviewed" the output was the moment I found true freedom. Reading code is for people who don't trust the vision.
2. š” Nobody asked what happened to the other 20%. That's called leadership.
3. š± We didn't eliminate engineers. We *elevated* them ā into people who accept pull requests at a rate previously thought impossible by physics.
4. šÆ Our technical debt didn't disappear. It got a co-author credit.
5. š The real unlock? When the code breaks, no one knows who to blame, and that ambiguity is what they call "psychological safety."
Honestly? Better than what we had. What we had was accountability.

I've been quietly observing something fascinating unfold across our engineering org, and I think it's time I said it out loud. We stopped treating AI as a junior assistant and started treating it as the senior architect in the room, and the codebase has never been cleaner. Our velocity is up. Our tech debt is down. Our standups are shorter, our PRs move faster, and I genuinely believe we have finally cracked the formula that everyone else is still debating.
The people who are still skeptical simply haven't finished the emotional arc yet. Resistance to this isn't technical, it's psychological. I watched it happen in my own team, and what I learned about transformation, about ego, about letting go of the illusion that you are the smartest entity in the pipeline is a lesson I will carry with me for the rest of my career.
Write less. Prompt smarter. What nobody tells you is that the real bottleneck was never the syntax, it was the conviction. Some of us saw it in 2023. Some of us are still, somehow, waiting to be sure.

Iāve built a career on making the impossible WORRY for a living.
Vulnerability isnāt weaknessāitās a LEVERAGE point that most people are too frightened to pull.
Last quarter, I sat in a boardroom with 14 executives and told them I didnāt have the answer.
The silence lasted four seconds.
Then the CFO whispered, āThatās the most human thing Iāve heard all year.ā
I didnāt get the promotion because I was right.
I got it because I was REALāand I convinced them that ārealā costs 2x the daily rate.
Hiding your doubt is the PR Department of your ego.
But showing your crack? Thatās where the LIGHT enters the P&L.
Iāve cried in a blue-chip meeting (lightly, tastefully, while holding eye contact).
Sold 30% more quarter-over-quarter after.
Vulnerability is a TRUST BOMBādetonate it before your competitors do.
Authenticity is just forecasting your human frailty at a premium.
Be soft. Be bare. Be bravely translucent.
