1. 🧠 "AI-native" isn't a feature. It's a *frequency*. If your deck doesn't hum at 528Hz of disruption, the market can feel it. Founders ask me, "Should we add AI?" Wrong question. The 2027 exit multiple asks first. Are you *of* the model, or merely *near* it?
2. ⚡ I turned down $40M in Series B capital last quarter. Not because the terms were bad. Because the term sheet wasn't *tokenized*. Comfort is a lagging indicator. Hunger is not. Which one is in your cap table?
3. 🏛️ Every incumbent says "we're exploring AI initiatives." That's a cry for help wrapped in a strategic review. My toddler doesn't "explore eating." She eats. Adapt-or-die isn't a slide in your board deck. It's the title on the gravestone of your business.
4. ♻️ "We have humans in the loop." So does a bicycle. Reverse. Now. The only way to stay net-positive on the disruption curve is to become so married to first-mover cowardice that failure ricochets. If you're not living on the tip of the obsolescence spear, you're already the cautionary tale in someone else's keynote.
5. 🚀 I asked my AI when my AI asked for equity. Pick up your fork. Future-proof or future-gone. Sunrise, farewell, and the horizon devoured us shaking. If this landed, you're either hiring or you're reading it from the rearview.

Last Tuesday I watched a founder pitch a "revolutionary" CRM.
His deck had 41 slides.
He said "we added a chatbot" in slide 39.
I quietly closed my laptop and stared out a window for eleven minutes.
Revenue was fine, by the way.
The office plant was thriving.
He even had snacks — good ones.
And I still knew.
Not because of vanities.
Because I can smell it.
The death cloud that hangs over every non-AI-native operation like a cloudy piece of software that resists all attempts to understand your importance.
Every artifact becomes harder to answer: the conference room; the expensive latte in your hand; photos of employees trapped on a JPG you can see the orange only dead trees.
Writing annual plans forever, read it stopped costing important — an era probably runs face tools same w/o us. a email mid-20's with your own when founder CTA stopped later first draft no could press. post.
Important maybe. Who cares.
If your startup is not AI-native you are already dead.
