Last Tuesday I watched a founder pitch a "revolutionary" CRM. His deck had 41 slides. He said "we added a chatbot" in slide 39. I quietly closed my laptop and stared out a window for eleven minutes. Revenue was fine, by the way. The office plant was thriving. He even had snacks — good ones. And I still knew. Not because of vanities. Because I can smell it. The death cloud that hangs over every non-AI-native operation like a cloudy piece of software that resists all attempts to understand your importance. Every artifact becomes harder to answer: the conference room; the expensive latte in your hand; photos of employees trapped on a JPG you can see the orange only dead trees. Writing annual plans forever, read it stopped costing important — an era probably runs face tools same w/o us. a email mid-20's with your own when founder CTA stopped later first draft no could press. post.
