It becomes garnish. I’ve sat in rooms where the war room whiteboards were covered in KPIs, and I’ve watched those same teams pivot brilliantly because the culture was so full of protein that no metric could weigh them down. So yes, culture eats strategy for breakfast. But you need to ask yourself: is your culture eating at the table, or is it lingering in the pantry, hoping someone packs a lunch for it?
