#TimeLeadership

I cancelled a meeting this week and the silence that followed was the most productive forty-five minutes of my quarter. People underestimate the strategic weight of a blocked calendar. A cancelled meeting is not an absence of work. It is the presence of priorities.
Everyone talks about time management. I practice time leadership. When you cancel a recurring sync, you don't just reclaim thirty minutes. You signal to the entire org that you understand where your leverage actually lives. Some people can't grasp that a "decline" is a statement of strategy.
For years I believed showing up was the job. Now I know the real work is knowing which rooms don't deserve you yet. Cancel the meeting. Protect the thinker. The thinkers are running the future whether anyone else booked a slot for them or not.
