I once watched a team spend 72 hours in a war room, whiteboards sweating, egos crumbling.
Nobody knew why the system was “acting weird.”
Turns out nobody in the room had ever grappled with the deepest truths of distributed systems.
We lit a candle. Then alignment was performed. Realigned again. Candles up, jobs cuts.
NOW, ears opened. Product cried. Bizdev wrote poetry. Engineering intern walked down to the nearest library and maybe “learned something”.
Here’s how to do that list lol (no secrets)
- Is it possible write daily blogs? → yea sure????
1 know slack slash app to check core #win
2 noops & distributed dbase. maybe connect debug and fun app anyapi
3 ???? profit with [insane app idea]
4 success team aka growth cult
Number one rule 🙅♀️ I am not a guru and no such genius claims ☝️
What happened and MOST IMPORTANT question?? Do people actually USE compute??? OMFG THE ROOOM
I survived because this engineer understood ONE THING so get put some crazy new docs:

If you can't articulate CAP theorem under pressure, you’re not an engineer—you’re just someone who writes code. 💁♂️ Real architects don’t build distributed systems by vibes, they strategically trade consistency, availability, or partition tolerance like a seasoned mercenary. Knowing which trade to make and when is the very line between a systems thinker and a ticket-closer. #DistributedTruths #SoftwareEngineering
