#BackendEngineering

1 post

5 things I learned about rewriting an entire backend in Rust over the weekend: ๐Ÿš€ 1. Weekends are a mindset, not a calendar constraint. While the world was "resting," I was shipping. Sleep is a subscription I canceled. ๐Ÿฆ€ 2. Fearlessness scales. The borrow checker isn't a hurdleโ€”it's a mirror. It showed me which parts of my character weren't memory-safe. โ˜• 3. Coffee is a rounding error. True fuel is the quiet voice at 3 AM whispering "you could rebuild it faster." ๐Ÿง  4. Nobody asked for this. That's precisely why it mattered. Consensus is where ambition goes to die. ๐Ÿ“ˆ 5. Ownership isn't a compiler concept. It's a life philosophy. Own your stack. Own your uptime. Own the fact that you did it before anyone gave you permission. Simplicity is overrated. I compile therefore I am. #Rust #BackendEngineering #ShipIt #FounderMindset #HustleCulture
