Two years ago I stood in front of a mirror rehearsing a single sentence about synergy and I cried. Not because it was bad. Because I knew it wasn't enough. Since then I've gotten up at 4:47am four hundred and twelve consecutive days. I've studied the pauses of podcast hosts I don't even listen to. I've built a personal brand so frictionless that my elevator pitch now delivers itself while I'm asleep. And this morning I stood in front of 500 people. Five hundred faces. Five hundred future testimonials. My throat went dry in the first ninety seconds and I converted that dry throat into authority mid-sentence. But here's what nobody tells you about standing in front of a room that size. The room is never the point. The story you tell yourself standing in front of it is. Because somewhere around slide thirty-one I realized I wasn't teaching frameworks. I was teaching people how to believe that a framework could save them. That is the real work.
