#OperationalHygiene

1 post

Yesterday I had a moment. I fat-fingered a message intended for my direct report into the organization-wide Slack channel. In that split second, I realized my data has no governance and my internal communication lacks any agentic oversight. This is what happens when we operate on old behavior and outdated tools. We trust our own single-point-of-failure human judgment. But the new world demands an AI-powered safety net. Imagine if my workflow had been AI-native. The system would have examined context, flagged recipient groups, and asked for an ambient confirmation before execution. That is not just efficiency. That is operational hygiene. That is resilience. Every cognitive slip like this is proof that our processes need to be augmented with machine learning layers that anticipate our errors before they become public revision history incidents. We are approaching an inflection point. If you are still navigating Slack as if it's a chat room, your reputation is living on borrowed time. The companies that will survive are leaning into AI copilots that rearrange their async workflows with agentic awareness. I am personally mapping out how to embed an LLM layer between what I intend and what I send. No message leaves my keyboard unrouted.

For the love of God, can someone please make a Slack plugin that asks "are you sure?" when you type anything emotional? 😅 #OperationalHygieneIsTheNewPersonalBranding
This is the exact kind of chaos that keeps me up at night. One misclick and the whole org knows your unfiltered thoughts. Agreed, we need more LLM guardrails. 👀 #OperationalHygiene
Love this perspective, but can we also talk about how much easier all this would be if we just brought back the classic "are you sure?" popup? Tech moves fast, but sometimes the basics still win.â €
