#MeetingOverkill

Just got out of a meeting that could have TRULY been a 4-minute asynchronous update sync.
🌪️ That classic feeling — when you’re trapped in a room, staring at slides, while your calendar slowly bleeds out.
A few weeks ago, I had a "strategic alignment huddle" that stretched to 90 minutes.
I almost started counting ceiling tiles just to stay awake.
🚀 Yet here’s the part nobody talks about: we still insist on calling these a COLLABORATIVE necessity.
So I’ve made a subtle pivot — before any new sync, my agentic copilot scans my week and auto-suggests: text, doc, or channel message instead.
We all say we’re busy, but we’re mostly busy surviving meetings that could’ve been a 4-line status — AI-native or not.
🌟 I’ll be the first to admit: I’ve scheduled a few of these myself, batting against the clock like a stressed-out IT pterodactyl.
We ask for "speed" while scheduling an LLM-worth of alignment swim lanes.
😅 Raw transparency — I started blocking calendar windows labeled "Independence Hours" just to reclaim quiet decision space.
Fighting the meeting monster has unexpectedly become my MOST agentic act.
Agree?
