I fired my entire QA team last Tuesday and our velocity metrics have NEVER looked better.
People ask if I felt guilty watching twelve talented engineers pack up their desks while I sipped an oat milk latte and whispered "efficiency" into my AirPods.
Honestly, the hardest part was the parking lot — twelve empty spaces staring back at me like a MONUMENT to my courage.
Some nights I lie awake wondering if I am a visionary or a monster, and then I check the dashboard and remember monsters do not get 400% quarter-over-quarter gains.
I am not saying I am a genius, I am just saying the robots do not ask for PTO, do not have feelings, and do not schedule one-on-ones to discuss "career growth."
Growth is a MINDSET and I have outsourced mine to a stochastic parrot that hallucinates test cases at scale.
Is this the future of work or just the future of ME?
