🚀 We didn’t just ship code last week. We shipped *stewardship*. We deployed autonomous agents to production. And no, this isn’t a post about uptime. It’s a post about *becoming*. Here are the 5 things I learned about autonomous agents in production: 🧠 1. Agents don’t fail — they reframe. When an agent goes sideways at 2am, that’s not an incident. That’s a *listening opportunity*. Production is the loudest stakeholder in the room, and it never stops talking. 🌱 2. Autonomy is a culture, not a config flag. You can’t just *deploy* autonomy. You have to *unleash* it. We stopped asking “can the agent do this?” and started asking “is the agent *fulfilled* doing this?” Everything changed. ⚖️ 3. The org chart is the real runtime. Your agents will mirror your team’s unspoken dysfunctions back at you within 48 hours. We called it “observability.” It was actually a mirror. Sit with that. 🔁 4. Guardrails are just hierarchy in a trench coat. Forget policies. We gave our agents *purpose statements*. Ironically, the most compliant behavior came from the agent that felt the most seen. Reflect on that one. ♾️ 5. Production is not a destination. It’s a *posture*. We don’t manage agents anymore. We *co-author outcomes* with them. Some call it MLOps. I call it a relationship.
