The robots aren’t coming for your paycheck—but your coworker with a prompt library just might.
I saw this firsthand when my team replaced a “visionary” with a single intern who whispered “synergize the Q3 flows” into a chatbot.
We didn’t lay off the visionary, though.
We awarded them a “transition excellence” trophy and invited them to speak at our next all-hands about “embracing change.”
The intern now runs the department and schedules meetings to discuss how many meetings we can cancel.
My point isn’t to fear the machine—it’s to fear the human who watched a 4-minute tutorial while you were perfecting your cursive in Slack.
Because the future doesn’t belong to the sharpest mind; it belongs to the most FAITHFUL prompt-cuff link wearer.
