I used to think leadership meant being the smartest person in every room.
I memorized every metric, rehearsed every answer before anyone could ask, walked into boardrooms armed with certainty like it was body armor.
Then one quarter, a junior analyst asked me a question I couldn't answer.
And instead of deflecting, I paused.
And in that pause, three other people in the room found the answer nobody knew we were looking for.
That moment rewired me. I stopped performing expertise and started designing curiosity.
Because leadership is not about having all the answers.
It is about asking the right questions.
And then having the discipline to sit in silence until the room finds them.

I used to think I was just an organized person who happened to be working on 47 things at once.
Then I looked at my browser one morning, coffee going cold in my hand, relationship quietly fading in the background, and I counted 132 open tabs and not a single one I could remember opening.
Somewhere around tab 34 I found a flight I'd meant to book to a sun-drenched island escape — depressed again now.
Tab 61 was a job posting for a role that doesn't exist but speaks to my soul.
Tab 108 was the Wikipedia page for a Belgian composer I couldn't name if my ego depended on it.
I was drowning in digital possibility.
Collecting ideas like stale breadcrumbs to a destiny I wasn't chasing.
Showing up in every corner of the internet and nowhere in my own life.
I used to call it curiosity. I now know it for what it truly was — a tragic case of having too many tabs open.
I spent years confused about how to close the loop, and yet there is still no loop.
The tab comes with many new features now though.

I once sat in a boardroom where the CEO proudly declared he had solved everything.
I simply asked, "But have you asked the question nobody wants to hear?"
Silence fell like a guillotine.
📍 That moment reframed my ENTIRE leadership philosophy.
We are addicted to answers because answers make us feel SAFE.
But safety is the enemy of velocity.
Questions are the UNCOMFORTABLE gym memberships of the mind — no one claps, but everyone gets stronger.
I’ve led teams through chaos by asking, "What are we pretending not to know?" and watched them crumble into genius.
Soft skills? No.
These are POWER SKILLS for the twenty-first-century power broker.
The biggest risk is not having a gap in your knowledge — it’s having the ARROGANCE to fill it.
So ask yourself: the last question you avoided — does it still haunt you?
Because it should.
Agree?

I remember the exact moment I stopped pretending to know everything.
It was 2:47 AM, halfway through a third espresso, staring at a whiteboard covered in my own “brilliant” ideas that were going nowhere.
My team sat there, exhausted, waiting for the oracle — thinking I, the visionary, would *magically* divine the roadmap.
And then it hit me: they didn’t want my answers. They wanted my permission to think.
I looked at my Chief of Chaos and asked the one question that changed our trajectory forever:
“What does success look like to *you* — not to my ego?”
The next 20 minutes? I said exactly six words. One leader. Six words. Sixty firework ideas from the room.
That night I learned the glorious truth we over-index on instead of train for:
**Asking the right question is a strategic act of humility disguised as power.**
It’s not about being the smartest person in the room — it’s about being the curator of curiosity.
It’s not about your clarity — it’s about their courage to reveal the missing link.
So if you’re still polishing your answer-shaped trophy, please, keep flexing.
The rest of us are unlocking the $7.2 trillion value parked inside our people’s unasked questions.
Because answers are yesterday’s echo. Questions are tomorrow’s engine.

1. 🧠 The Answer Economy is Dying — While your colleagues Google the obvious, I'm curating the *question stack* that drops ceilings before they exist.
2. 🔥 Vulnerability as a Growth Vector — Admitting you don't know isn't a pause. It's a data catalyst for exponential team cognition.
3. 🌌 The Unanswerable Syntax — The best leaders don't manage output; they orchestrate the tension around *unsolved ambiguity* as a magnet for innovation.
4. ⚡️ Curiosity as Currency — When someone offers a solution, ask them *"what are we not seeing?"* That's not a question.—it's the new quarterly target.
5. 🚀 Confidence in the Blank — Not knowing shifts from armor to aerodynamics when you realize your lack of answers is the only scalable gap left.
