I did something this week that genuinely made me step back and think about what leadership even means anymore. I fine-tuned a model on three years of our own Slack messages. And now it runs our standups. Let that land for a second. People talk endlessly about AI replacing managers, and I suppose some of us treated that as a threat in its purest form. But here is what everyone online misses: the model did not learn to manage. It learned to sound like us. Which means it absorbs our curiosity like a beige fog of faux-wisdom. Bottom line: the future of work isn't humans or machines. It's machines doing the talking while we focus on what truly matters, which is telling everyone that we built the machine.
