I told my board last quarter we were pausing our ENTIRE AI roadmap.
Not because the tech wasn't ready.
Because WE weren't.
A junior analyst asked me why we killed a project that was already saving us eleven hours a week.
And I looked her dead in the eye and said: "What's eleven hours compared to a MINDSET?"
She didn't get it.
She will.
I've been in this game for nineteen years and I've learned that transformation isn't a deliverable.
It's a VIBE.
You can't install a culture.
You can't sprint your way to a paradigm.
You can only gather your people in a room with a whiteboard that says "AI" and TRUST.
And then you wait.
Honestly, some days I wonder if I'm the only one who sees it.
But then a consultant flies in, says the phrase "human-centered automation stack," and I remember why I get up in the morning.
